Foreign investors may invest in any industry and are free to transfer funds, assets and other goods, including profit or dividend.<\/li>\n<li>The investors implementing investment projects in Montenegro are eligible for the financial incentives approved by the Government of Montenegro.<\/li>\n<li>Competitive tax system (general corporate profit tax and personal income tax is 9%) . Incentives and tax reliefs for investment on both national and local levels, including in purposefully established Business and Free Trade Zones.<\/li>\n<li>The term <i>\u201cforeign <\/i><i>investor<\/i><i>\u201d <\/i>applies to a company that has been set up in Montenegro by a foreigner, or foreign legal entity, whose share of investment capital is higher than 25% of total capital invested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">TRADE , TAX AND INCENTIVES<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As of December 1, 2018, Montenegro has 43 effective double taxation conventions on income and capital.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-935 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/fidoveritas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Picture1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"472\" height=\"252\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fidoveritas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Picture1.jpg 619w, https:\/\/fidoveritas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Picture1-300x160.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 472px) 100vw, 472px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>There Is No Limit On The Amount Of Capital Invested In Montenegro.<\/li>\n<li>Access to a market of around <i>800 million <\/i>consumers owing to the free trade agreements with the EU (Stabilization and Association Agreement), CEFTA, EFTA, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine<\/li>\n<li>The tax system for foreign investors is the same as for local business entities.<\/li>\n<li>Corporate income tax is flat 9% and it is one of the lowest in Europe, while the tax rate on personal income is 9% or 11% (applicable on gross monthly wages above \u20ac765). The most common forms of companies are:<i>\u25aa limited <\/i><i>liability company (LLC<\/i><i>)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/i><i><br \/>\n\u25aa<\/i> <i>joint stock company (JSC)<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">LICENSE ISSUING<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>REQUIREMENTS FOR ISSUING LICENSE<br \/>\n<i>Intermediary Agent <\/i>and<i> International Due Diligence Agent<\/i>\u00a0 are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not to be sentenced in Montenegro or in another state by a final and binding court decision or have a criminal case.<\/li>\n<li>Three year has preformed the same or similar activites in at least three countries on the basis of a contract or license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-939 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/fidoveritas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Picture3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fidoveritas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Picture3.png 389w, https:\/\/fidoveritas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Picture3-300x293.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>LICENCE VALIDITY PERIOD AND COST<br \/>\nOne year validity period and may be extended twice for a period of\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 one year per extension.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The license for an <i>International Due Diligence Agent<\/i> is free of charge.<\/li>\n<li>The license for an <i>Intermediary Agent <\/i>is<i> 50,000 \u20ac <\/i>annually.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">INVESTING AND BUSINESS STIMULATION<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The funds to incentivize investments are allocated following a public announcement. Eligible investment projects include<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-941 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/fidoveritas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Picture4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"238\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fidoveritas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Picture4.png 506w, https:\/\/fidoveritas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Picture4-256x300.png 256w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 238px) 100vw, 238px\" \/> those of<br \/>\nminimum worth of <i>\u20ac500,000 <\/i>which will generate at least <i>20<\/i> new jobs over the course of three years, from the date of signing the<br \/>\nagreement on the use of funds.<\/li>\n<li>(<i>in the Capital City and the southern region<\/i>)<\/li>\n<li>Investing <i>\u20ac250,000<\/i>, which generate at least <i>10<\/i> new jobs<\/li>\n<li>(<i>in <\/i><i>the northern and central region, excluding the Capital City<\/i>)<\/li>\n<li>In addition, any capital investment in excess of <i>\u20ac10 <\/i>million and generating at least <i>50<\/i> new jobs is eligible for incentives<\/li>\n<li>of up to <i>17%<\/i> of its worth.<\/li>\n<li>The Decree envisages the possibility to reimburse the costs of construction of the infrastructure required to implement<\/li>\n<li>the investment project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The website www.investmentlocations.me provides detailed information on investment opportunities for specific locations in all 23 municipalities of Montenegro.
